Thursday, February 28th, 2008
A warm smile, even from a stranger, can make your day when you are feeling really low. Hence, you too, should not hold yourself back from smiling as it not only increases your face value but gives you an improved sense of self esteem and confidence. However, in order to confidently flash that brilliant smile, you also need to have your pearly whites in perfect order. If you have misaligned, broken, chipped or stained teeth then it is only natural that you will not want to flash your smile in public and be self conscious. Our teeth may not be in the best of health due to illness, disease, accident or sheer negligence on our part. Young children and teenagers are often seen wearing metallic braces that help to rectify the shape of your teeth and get the alignment right. However, wearing braces also alters your appearance and you may again feel self conscious and awkward about wearing braces, hence not many adults would want to opt for braces. Clear braces have managed to do away with this problem and now more and more people are adopting this method of rectifying teeth alignment problems.

Clear braces are invisalign braces that are made of a transparent material that make sit impossible for others to spot a person who is wearing these braces. Also, they are more lightweight than the traditional metal braces and hence more comfortable for the wearer. You can easily carry off these clear braces even at social or public gatherings without feeling self conscious about your appearance. The braces need to be taken off during certain times like whenever you are eating a meal or brushing your teeth and hence this may in turn slow down the process of treatment. Metal braces achieved results faster because they were worn constantly by the user and hence the pressure was maintained on the teeth constantly for certain duration.

Clear braces have provided the opportunity to adults of rectifying the alignment of your teeth without feeling uncomfortable or conscious. However, one of the crucial criteria to be followed before you opt for the process is to find the right dentist to treat your case. You can easily locate the best dentist in your city through the yellow pages or the internet or through the reference of his or her clients. Once, you have the doctor of your choice, then make sure that you make yourself aware of the entire procedure and the care required after the treatment to ensure better results and good oral health.

The field of medical science has made vast progress and now restorative and cosmetic dentistry can rectify almost any dental problem. The advent of clear braces has made even alignment treatment much more desirable. However, it is always better to ensure that you maintain a regular oral health and hygiene routine in order to ensure the best possible health for you teeth and to keep them in good condition and to keep your smile intact forever.

Quantum Physics and Healthy Teeth

Healthy Teeth

The Quantum Ocean is an infinite Ocean of intelligent, thinking energy. It is the Mind of God because it was created by the Creator God who set this living, expanding Universe into motion.

If we are to heal ourselves one at a time or as a nation we must bring the idea of a Creator God, a Big “G”, a Grand Architect of the Universe into the equation.

In the field of health and healing there exists within the Quantum Ocean Divine Blueprints. Blueprints of perfect overall health; Blueprints of health for the perfectly functioning organs, tissue, bones and teeth of our bodies.

We need a methodology to incorporate these Divine Blueprints within our Aura and our cellular structures. In short, we need to bring the Blue Prints of health within us.

The Laws of Quantum Physics and Mental Radionics have given us the tools to do just this. The application of these Laws, with their daily practice will lead us to better health.

The exercise that follows incorporates the Laws of Quantum Physics and Mental Radionics.

But in addition to practicing the excercise daily, we should avial ourselves of every other proven methodology that brings us health. Leave no stone unturned in your search for better health.

EXERCISE FOR HEALING ONE’S TEETH AND GUMS:

Sit comfortably in your favorite chair. Relax, breath deeply. Close your eyes and intone

“I am now manifesting the Divine Blueprint of perfect teeth and gums out of the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God, into every cell of my body.”

DO THIS THREE TIMES:

Visualize your mouth, teeth and gums alive, because they are, with the new production of epithelial cells (tooth enamel) and mesenchymal cells (connective tissue and blood vessels.) The beginning of their regeneration from within and with out. Just knowing the process helps strengthen it.

I am not a doctor nor do I prescribe any of the following as healing your teeth and gums. But I will tell you what I use to heal my teeth and gums.

In this very toxic, environmentally polluted world, you must tend to the maintenance of your teeth and gums on a daily basis.

I have used and continue to use the following healing methods for my teeth and gums. I don’t use them all at once, but vary the daily applications.

Schussler’s Biochemic Cell Salts.

Calcium Flouride is useful in the treatment of diseases affecting the surface of the bones, and joints and when teeth become loose in their sockets they decay rapidly. Calcium Phosphate is helpful in the formation of children’s teeth.

Samuel Hahnemann Homeopathic Remedies:

Tooth Abcess- Mercurius Solubilis Tooth Decay- Creosotum Loosening of Teeth_- Lycopodium Clauatum Tooth Ache - Arsnricum Album

In the Herb world:

For bones, teeth and calcium deficiency: Comfry, Horsetail, Lobelia, White Oak bark, Alfalfa. For Toothache: Ginger and Marigold

Color Healing:

I use Dinshah Color filters with Spectro-Chrome therapy. ( See my other articles in regard to detail in this therapy) Attach a color filter to a small 25 watt lamp and shine it on the affected area.

For Toothaches- shine indigo color or purple on the face (one hour.) For Tooth Abcess- Green followed by indigo. Loose Teeth- Lemon followed by indigo.

My wife Lory and I use the Miracle II Spritual Soap products. They help the body to balance it’s PH levels and they help the teeth and gums.

We also use Tibetan Gold Pure White Dentifrice Toothpaste. It has anti-plaque, anti-tarter, natural anti-cavity minerals. It detoxifies mercury filling toxins.

The health of your teeth and gums is in your hands. Do not believe what you read here. Go out on the net and research what I have written. Then if you like, try the remedies and see for yourself.

Keep Your Kid’s Teeth Healthy With Nutrition

Monday, February 18th, 2008
Providing your family with a healthy diet can be challenging in today’s world. The stores are full of foods that have the nutrition processed out of them. Fast foods are everywhere. If you are willing to look, however, there are good whole food and health food stores as well. Look for foods that are high in fiber and nutrients and low in chemical additives and sugars.

Some suggestions for finding excellent health foods and snacks online:

http://www.myforevergreen.org/stevenbrazis/home.html

http://www.sunfood.com

Essential Nutritious Food

Children are in their growing stages and therefore require foods from each food group to maintain proper health. Include carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in every meal. Normally, a child’s diet has a higher concentration of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates contain starches and sugars, some harmful and some essential. Try to emphasize the complex carbohydrates found in vegetables and fruits as opposed to the starchy carbohydrates found in pasta and breads.

Bacteria cause dental cavities. While it is true that bacteria thrive more on certain foods, they will live on residue from any food. Cookies, candies, pastries and cakes get the most attention when cavity producing foods are discussed. Yet, fruits, milk, peanut butter, pretzels, chips, and juices are equally detrimental. Regulating eating habits along with regular brushing habits will help tremendously.

Water

Water is a subject that is so often overlooked in discussions of nutrition that I want to give it special attention here. Children will naturally appreciate water. Their bodies want it. Give your child water to drink instead of flavored drinks of any kind. Most people do not get enough good water in their bodies.

Water is a natural lubricant and cleanser. It is a necessary catalyst for most of the essential metabolism of the body as well as acting as a cleansing agent to flush waste and toxic materials from the cells and body as a whole.

Today, most water sources need extra filtering to make sure it doesn’t contain more harmful ingredients than good. Bottled water is an alternative, though that can be expensive. Good inexpensive water filters can be found with a little research and well worth the effort.

Finally, just drinking water during and after eating will wash out the mouth and help dilute any remaining food substance left, reducing the risk of tooth decay enormously.

Tips to Maintain Good Dental Health in Children

* Avoid giving sticky food like raisins, honey, caramel, syrups, and molasses to children. Otherwise, insist on your children brushing their teeth immediately after eating such foods.

* Give them raw vegetables and fruits for snacks. Vegetables and fruits like cucumber, pear, celery, and melon stimulate the secretion of saliva during eating. This helps wash away sugars present in such fruits and vegetables and prevent any buildup of food residue.

* Give cheddar cheese as an alternative snack or for lunch. This triggers saliva formation and helps wash down food particles.

* Give children water instead of juices or soda. Juices and soda have high levels of sugar. Soda also has carbolic acid, which is extremely destructive to teeth. Diluting fruit juices with some water is also helpful.

* Use a fluoridated toothpaste if you choose for brushing. The beneficial effect of fluoride is that it helps to harden tooth enamel, thereby reducing tooth decay. Flossing removes food deposits between the teeth where brushing cannot.

* It is best to brush teeth well twice a day and preferably also after meals and snacks. Drink lots of water!

Teeth Problems - Toothache and Bad Breath Treatment

Monday, February 18th, 2008
Gingivitis

Gingivitis is an infection of the gums. It is usually painless and most people do not realize they have it until their dentist or hygienist tells them. Bleeding of the gums during brushing or flossing is sometimes apparent to the patient, but this is not always the case. The gums do become reddened and puffy due to the infection.

Treatment

• 1) One drop of each of the above noted essential oils added to half a glass of water for use as a gargle.

• 2) Dab the gums with one or two drops of tea tree oil added to a cotton ball.

• 3)Proper brushing and flossing to remove plaque and debris and control tartar buildup

• 4)Eating right to ensure proper nutrition for your jawbone and teeth

• 5)Avoiding cigarettes and other forms of tobacco.

Toothache

Toothache is pain in the area of your jaw and face. It is usually caused when a nerve in the root of a tooth becomes irritated. Dental (tooth) infection, decay, injury, or loss of a tooth are the most common causes of dental pain. Pain may also occur after an extraction (tooth is pulled out). Pain sometimes originates from other areas and radiates to the jaw, thus appearing to be tooth pain. The most common cause of toothache, or pain in the region of the jaws and face, is pulpitis - inflammation of the pulp of the tooth. The short, sharp pains usually occur in response to hot, cold or sweet stimuli.

Treatment

1) Toothache relief using Onion-Latest research has confirmed the bactericidal properties of onion. If a person consumes one raw onion every day by thorough mastication, he will be protected from host of tooth disorders. Chewing raw onion for three minutes is sufficient to kill all the germs in the mouth. Toothache is often allayed by placing a small piece of onion on the bad tooth or gum.

2) Activated Charcoal Compress-Activated charcoal is available at many drug stores and natural health food stores. Mix two teaspoons of activated charcoal powder with just enough water to make a paste. Apply it to a piece of gauze and place the gauze on the tooth. Bite down.

3) Avoid very cold or hot foods because this may make the pain worse.

4) Relief may be obtained from biting on a cotton ball soaked in oil of cloves. Oil of cloves is available at most drug stores.

Halitosis/Chronic Bad Breath

Halitosis is most often caused by the breakdown of food particles by bacteria that inhabit our mouths. These bacteria are often found under plaque, in the spaces between teeth and gums and in the deeper crevices on your tongue. As the bacteria feed on food debris, they produce a byproduct called volatile sulfur compounds (VSC), which includes gases such as hydrogen sulfide — which smells like rotten eggs!

Treatment

1) Brush your tongue.- It has been found that almost 50% of the bacteria which cause halitosis reside on the tongue. Use a soft bristled toothbrush or a special device called a tongue cleaner (or tongue scraper) to gently clean the tongue.

2) A handy portable, battery powered version of the water Pik is available. It can be easily transported in a purse or brief case and is one of the most powerful and certain ways of preventing bad breath; it really knocks the food particles out from between the teeth.

3) Your tolerance for specific medications, procedures, or therapies

How To Prepare For Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Monday, February 18th, 2008
The appearance of third molars can be a real problem for many people: they bud around the age of sixteen and they keep erupting till the age of twenty four, sometimes interfering with the proper dental functions. The most common cases of wisdom teeth extractions are caused by the incorrect development of these molars and their affecting the entire dental structure of the jaw or the maxillary. In case infections may appear in the area, the surgical intervention is usually postponed until complete clearance of germs, so as to avoid the risk of further complications. Wisdom teeth extraction is planned ahead and it is performed only under the effect of a local anesthetic.

When the dentist decides to make the wisdom teeth extraction with the help of a general anesthetic, then, you’ll be most surely numb or asleep during the intervention. Mention should be made here that sometimes, the doctor may warn you not to eat or drink anything at least twelve hours before the wisdom teeth extraction, in order to prevent digestive reactions, more precisely vomiting, due to the effect of the anesthetic. A wisdom teeth extraction often requires the use of stitches afterwards, particularly if the extracted molars are large. Such measures reduce the bleeding risk and allow the rapid healing of the area.

After the wisdom teeth extraction there may be a few days necessary for recovery: you could even be prescribed painkillers to help you better manage pain. However, take into consideration the following facts that could help you heal better. First of all, keep a gauze pad on the operated area in case you bleed, and change it periodically as it gets soaked. Right after the surgery, the tongue and the inside of the mouth will be numb, therefore the risk to bite yourself is pretty high. Don’t chew and speak slowly. Do not perform any strenuous physical activity after the wisdom teeth extraction as you may increase bleeding.

Try to stay away from solid food in the first few days following the wisdom teeth extraction: soup, pudding and tea are usually recommended together with any other soft food. Do not drink milk or eat sweets as they create a proper environment for the development of germs and bacteria, and with an open wound inside of the mouth, you can easily get an infection. Constantly washing your mouth with salty water can help reduce the irritation and the swelling in the area. Last but not least, any wisdom teeth extraction should be taken seriously, and regular visits to the dentist may be necessary for the proper monitoring of the condition.

What Are Wisdom Teeth And Who Grows Them?

Monday, February 18th, 2008
What are wisdom teeth and who grows them and why do people dread them? As strange as it may sound, only some people get to grow wisdom teeth usually between the ages of sixteen and twenty four. Wisdom teeth are a third range of molars that appear in the rear part of the mouth and can become extremely bothersome if they affect the presence of the other teeth in the area. Most people actually have their wisdom teeth extracted because of the overall damage and the pain they are exposed to when tooth growth affects chewing and the normal function of the other teeth. The name of wisdom teeth comes from the fact that they erupt at an age beyond childhood, when personality and a certain “wisdom” is considered to be achieved already.

The most common oral health problems that are associated with wisdom teeth include infections of the gums. Such conditions are favored by the position of the teeth in an area where it is pretty difficult to reach with the tooth brush, food accumulates on the jaw side and makes the perfect environment for bacterial growth. Besides the overall discomfort, such infections of the wisdom teeth can be pretty dangerous as they can easily get extended to the throat or the ears. Tongue problems are also pretty commonly associated with the incorrect eruption of wisdom teeth.

Whenever the tongue brushes up against improperly grown wisdom teeth, a certain sensitivity appears in the area. It is possible not to experience anything other than discomfort for a specific period of time, but it is very likely that at a certain moment the condition should become so painful that it almost numbs the tongue. The only solution for such a condition is the extraction or the removal of the wisdom teeth that are responsible for the issue in the first place. Furthermore, if you are undergoing any tooth straightening processes, it is also a good idea to have the wisdom teeth removed as they could inflict extensive damage on the others.

Why do some people experience problems with wisdom teeth and some others don’t? The answer to this question lies in the different jaw size; people with a larger jaw are less likely to have improperly grown wisdom teeth, unlike those that have a smaller bone support. Another “generality” here applies to the fact that people who have grown crooked teeth in the first place, are very likely to suffer more when wisdom teeth appear. However, cases are special and completely different from one individual to another, and only a dentist or an orthodontist can pass a valid opinion on the matter.
